Sharing Abundance is the true spirit of Chinese New Year. In the rich tapestry of Chinese tradition, few phrases are as evocative as Nian Nian You Yu (年年有余). Phonetically, the word for “abundance” or “surplus” (Yu) sounds exactly like the word for “fish.” This linguistic playfulness has cemented the fish as a powerful symbol of prosperity during the Lunar New Year. It represents the wish that at the end of every year, we should have enough left over—not just to save, but for Sharing Abundance with our neighbors.

This year, the calendar has aligned in a beautiful and unique way. As we celebrate the accumulation of blessings during Chinese New Year, we also mark Valentine’s Day, a global celebration of love and affection.

At Infra Mobile Digital (IMD), we see this alignment not as a coincidence, but as a call to action. It is a reminder that prosperity is meaningless unless it is coupled with love. This philosophy has driven us to embrace a double mission for 2026: Sharing Abundance and Spreading Love.

We are incredibly proud to announce our compassionate partnership with the Rotary Club of Rahman Putra (RCRP) for their transformative “Fish for All” (人人有鱼吃) initiative. Together, we are moving beyond the traditional concept of corporate donations to engage in meaningful, on-the-ground community action that prioritizes Sharing Abundance with those who need it most.

Technology with Heart: A Commitment to Sharing Abundance

In the corporate world, Infra Mobile Digital is known for building “Smart Cities.” We deal in data, digital transformation, and infrastructure. However, we have always maintained that a city is only as “smart” as its community is caring. Technology provides the hardware of progress, but empathy provides the software of humanity.

Often, there is a perception that tech companies are disconnected from the grassroots reality—that we exist in the cloud, far removed from the soil and the streams. We want to shatter that perception. For us, Sharing Abundance is not just a seasonal slogan; it is a core value.

Our philosophy is simple yet profound: We don’t only do business; we give care and love to society.

Participating in the “Fish for All” campaign is our way of grounding ourselves. It reminds us that while we look toward the future of technology, we must never overlook the present needs of our neighbors. By partnering with the Rotary Club of Rahman Putra, we are joining a legacy of “Service Above Self,” ensuring that our corporate growth is mirrored by our commitment to Sharing Abundance with the wider community.

The Ecosystem of Sharing Abundance

Why fish? And specifically, why this campaign?

The “Fish for All” initiative is not a standard charity drive; it is a carefully designed socio-economic ecosystem. It was created to address two silent but critical struggles occurring simultaneously in our country, allowing us to practice Sharing Abundance in a sustainable way:

1. The Struggle of the Small Farmer In the aquaculture sector, small-scale fish farmers often face a volatile market. Despite their hard work and the high risks involved in farming, they frequently fall victim to fluctuating wholesale prices and supply chain inefficiencies. This instability makes it difficult for them to sustain their livelihoods.

2. The Struggle of the Urban Poor On the other side of the equation, we have underprivileged families in urban areas—specifically the B40 community—who suffer from “hidden hunger.” While they may have access to calories (rice, noodles), they often lack consistent access to high-quality protein.

The “Buy 1, Donate 1” mechanism designed by the Rotary Club solves both problems at once. By setting a fair price of RM60 for a pair of high-quality fish, the program ensures the farmer is paid a dignified wage. Simultaneously, it creates a funded pipeline of nutrition that flows directly to those who need it most.

When we distribute these fish, we are not just handing out food; we are engaging in a cycle of Sharing Abundance that starts with a farmer’s hard work and ends with a grateful smile at a shelter.

The Gift of Health: Sharing Abundance in Nutrition

The choice of Ikan Haruan (Snakehead Fish) for this campaign is deliberate and deeply meaningful, especially for the demographics we are visiting—the elderly and children. By providing this specific fish, we are Sharing Abundance in the form of health and vitality.

In Malaysian culture and traditional medicine, Ikan Haruan is revered as a “healing fish.” It is distinct from ordinary market fish due to its unique nutritional profile:

  • High Albumin Content: Ikan Haruan is one of the richest natural sources of albumin, a protein that is critical for cell growth and tissue repair.
  • Wound Healing: It has been scientifically proven to accelerate healing, making it ideal for the elderly who may be recovering from ailments or surgery.
  • Boosted Immunity: For growing children in orphanages, the high protein and amino acid content provide the building blocks for a strong immune system.

By delivering Ikan Haruan, we are not just filling bellies; we are delivering a health booster pack. We are giving our elders the strength to heal and our children the fuel to grow. It is a gift of vitality, perfectly suiting the Chinese New Year wish for good health (Shen Ti Jian Kang).

On 14 February 2026, Tina Leon and RCRP members will embark on a “Road of Love” across the Klang Valley, dedicated entirely to Sharing Abundance.

We have identified four homes that provide sanctuary to the most vulnerable members of our society. These are places where love is given daily by dedicated caretakers, and we are honored to support their efforts with this contribution of fresh sustenance.

📍 Our Outreach Locations:

We will be visiting the following homes to personally hand over the fresh fish:

1) Chester Old Folks Home (Sungai Buloh) Located in the quiet outskirts of Sungai Buloh, this home provides care for the elderly. Our visit here is to honor the generation that built our nation, ensuring they feel remembered and cherished during this festive season.

2) Good Samaritan Home (Klang) A beacon of hope in Klang, this home cares for children who have faced difficult starts in life. We hope to bring not just nutritious food, but the joy and excitement of the New Year to these young ones.

3) House of Love (Klang) True to its name, the House of Love provides a family environment for children in need. Our contribution here supports their mission of raising children in a holistic, caring atmosphere.

4) CP Children’s Home (CP 爱儿院, Klang) Our final stop is CP Children’s Home in Taman Seri Andalas. Finishing our journey here, we reinforce our commitment to the future generation, ensuring they have the nutrition they need to thrive.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

To help our community understand the depth of this project, here are some answers to common questions regarding the initiative:

Q: Who is organizing this event? A: This event is fully organized by the Rotary Club of Rahman Putra (RCRP). They are part of Rotary International, a trusted global network dedicated to community service under the motto “Service Above Self.” IMD is a proud participant and partner in this specific outreach.

Q: What is the main goal of the project? A: The project aims to bridge the gap between two needy groups: helping small-scale aquaculture farmers earn a sustainable, fair income while providing vital protein nutrition to the urban poor and welfare homes.

Q: Can I just donate without taking the fish? A: Yes! In fact, this is the true spirit of Sharing Abundance. Many participants choose to purchase the “Pair” but opt to donate both fish to the needy. This doubles the impact of your contribution.

Q: Why is the price set at RM60? A: The RM60 covers the cost of two high-quality, large-sized Ikan Haruan (approx. 1kg each). This price point is carefully calculated to ensure the farmer is paid a fair market rate, rather than a suppressed wholesale price, protecting their livelihood.

A Season of Sharing Abundance

As we look toward the year ahead, we are filled with gratitude. We are grateful for the technology that connects us, the business partners who support us, and the community that sustains us.

But most of all, we are grateful for the opportunity to give back.

As we celebrate this festive season of lights, red packets, and reunions, let us remember that the greatest prosperity isn’t what we keep in our banks, but what we give from our hearts. The act of Sharing Abundance is the ultimate celebration of life.

From all of us at Infra Mobile Digital and our compassionate partners at the Rotary Club of Rahman Putra, we wish you a year filled with love, health, and endless abundance.

Happy Chinese New Year.
